It's been a little while since I last blogged but felt the need to share a few thoughts of mine. One of the reasons that I haven't written lately is simply because of STUFF! So many distractions, situations, issues, and people and their stuff!
I looked around my bedroom yesterday and decided that I needed to get rid of some stuff! In reality, I realized that stuff was clutter! An overabundance of things that have overflowed the designed boundaries set for them! That's how I felt spiritually!
It's time to clean up and take control of my physical, emotionally, and spiritual spaces! It's not easy to "rest" in a place filled with clutter! I, however, realized that just throwing things out was not a simple remedy to this problem. I threw out a hat that I purchased from someone else but had never worn. My husband went into the plastic bag and said "your not going to throw this out, are you?" LOL! I said on a daily basis I'm throwing out something that:
1. Items that I haven't used in the last few years.
2. Things (projects) that I haven't finished or completed.
3. Clothes that I've out grown and cannot reasonably conceive myself to getting back into them.
4. Old papers, letters, and items from my past.
This is my starting point.
Stuff from your past, keep you from moving forward.
Projects left undone, haunt you.
Items not used recently are just sucking your energy and blocking you from present assignments that need your attention; and.
Clothes outgrown, gives you an immediate desire to run to the freezer and grab the tub of Butter Pecan Ice Cream!
Just a thought for today. I love you all and keep tuned for updates on this matter!
Father, I thank you for the knowledge to stop my foolishness and folly by over purchasing products, clothes, and jewelry. For everything that comes into my home or person, something must be deleted, trashed, donated, or given away. Help me Holy Spirit to be complete in you! To find my fulfillment in my calling and purpose as I return to the place (space) where I first knew you! This is do to find myself, In Jesus' Name! Amen!
